like many of you, I do not make new years resolutions, but instead, I create a bucket list, Things I actually want to do and that excites me to get them done. For some reason, resolutions have become to be something you are supposed to do like something society expects you to do, but with no pressure. The quality of being determined is something that I thrive in, but the “have to do’s” make me a little weary. I can’t be the only one, am I?
I learned about new year’s resolutions sometime as a child, and every year I made an intent to create lists of the things I wanted to get accomplished, but at the end of the month I had forgotten about the list and the resolutions.
One year though I created a bucket list, which I labelled by priority, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, 5 years and 10 years, and let me tell you, It worked like a charm! I had accomplished my first day, my week, my month and so on! I was actually doing something, I felt extremely accomplished and I did complete most of my bucket list if not all.
There are so many way to dicipline yourself, knowing yourself and what works for you.
Tell me below, do you have a system that works for you that might help someone who might have a similar approach to goals?
